Matthew De Bord - Founder and CEO
Matthew De Bord is NewGem Foods' founder and CEO. Matthew handles all new product development and strategy for NewGem. Prior to founding NewGem foods (originally Origami Foods) in 2003, Matthew lived in Japan working in education. In Japan, Matthew hatched the concept that has grown into the company you see today.  Matthew is a graduate of Sac State undergrad, and University of Pacific's School of Business. 



Tracy Griffith - Corporate Executive Chef
Tracy Griffith has been associated with NewGem Foods since early 2010. After sparking national attention in 2000 as one of the world's first professional female sushi chefs, Tracy has since been featured on Entertainment Tonight, Good Morning America, Canadian National CBC, CBS, Fox News and World Entertainment Network. In print, she has been featured in People, USA Today, Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Health & Fitness, Food & Wine and Nations Restaurant News. She's become of the foremost sushi chefs in the country, and NewGem Food's chief culinarian.


Vivienne Rogers – CFO/COO
Vivienne Rogers started with NewGem Foods in 2006, helping transition the company from a one-employee shop to what it is today.   She brings to the company experience in accounting, finance and graphic design along with a degree in Business Administration.  Vivienne manages the accounting, order processing, order fulfillment and human resource aspects of the business.  Like many of our customers, NewGem has opened up a whole new cuisine for Vivienne – she is part of the demographic that never ate sushi until Origami Wraps became available.
